“I’m not usually one to rant, but I’m going to rant because if one more person replies to one of my stories with the words ‘your funny’ , spelling the word your, y-o-u-r, funny,” he fumed, spelling out the word phonetically.
Matthew decided to give his fans a quick lesson in the correct usage of the contraction.
Heatedly, he explained: “It’s not, ‘y-o-u-r funny’, it’s y-o-u-‘-r-e, the apostrophe replaces the ‘a’ in are.
“You are funny,” he stated again for clarity.
