The body of a Lakewood woman has been identified among the remains of Surfside, Florida, condominium collapse days after the bodies of her husband and father were found, according to media reports.
The remains of Malky Weisz, 27, of Lakewood were identified Saturday, The Lakewood Scoop reported. Miami-Dade Police have not yet publicly released Malky Weisz’s name among the victims.
Her identification comes after the body of her husband, Benny Weisz, was recovered on Thursday and the body of her father, Harold “Harry” (Chaim) Rosenberg, 52, was recovered on Wednesday, according to Miami-Dade Police.
Malky and Benny Weisz were visiting Rosenberg, who lived in Champlain Towers South, when the 12-story condominium collapsed early June 24.
The couple arrived in Florida days before the collapse. The Lakewood community responded with calls for prayer, hope and remembrance after learning they were among those trapped in the rubble.
As of Saturday, authorities had identified 86 people who died in the collapse, while 211 people have been confirmed safe, according to the Palm Beach Post. Authorities have not accounted for 43 people
